AUGUST 14 TO 18, 2010
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

The annual meeting of ISAPS 2010 in San Francisco here at the Moscone Convention Center has been an informative and educational experience. This has been an exciting meeting with beautiful weather and fine dining. Topics have included AP issues in plastic surgery as well as multiple sessions. Session one was specifically regarding Periocular Rejuvenation, describing both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the periorbital region.

Session two is specific to Facial Rejuvenation. Section Three, Rhinoplasty, with Nasal Reconstruction. Fourth session is corresponding to Aesthetic Breast Surgery which was fascinating; and Session Five was associated with Aesthetic Reconstructive Surgery. This is an International Society Meeting with doctors from throughout the globe, extending from countries, including Columbia, Switzerland, London, Paris, Australia, Spain and China. Once again, this is an excellent meeting with both educational and informative objectiveness. Please see letter from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger specific to attendees.

In Mykonos, Greece, the two Islands of Aphrodite’s representing Aphrodite’s two breasts, shows symmetry and elegance. The clear blue waters of the Greek Isle combined with the beauty of the land and people are amazing. The silk used from the cocoons to create the beautiful Obeson rugs is brilliant in Kusadasi, Turkey. The central markets show endless spices with the color is quite brilliant. The variety of fish throughout the market shows the variation of diets that the people of Turkey maintain. Going back to the Obeson rugs, some of the silk rugs will take up to eight years to make by a single family performing every stitch by hand. The silk is produced from the cocoons of the butterfly, which is then placed on a special machine and then given to the laborer after dyed in specific colors to create beautiful silk rugs, masterpieces that is.

Finally, the City of Venice, Italy presents with the beauty of St. Marks Square, people abound, the Gondolas flow through the canals with brilliant light reflecting off the waters. Beauty can be found in many ways and in many different forms. From the creation and recreation of the female body to a beautiful Obeson rug, to beautiful mountain ranges, to the people of the Mediterranean, who are glorious in all their splender.

Last night, May 23, 2010, my wife and I were honored and privileged to be at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center’s 25th Anniversary Sports Spectacular for Biogenetic Research. This is a very special benefit and the funds are proceeded to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for research in Biogenetic Engineering to reduce birth defects as well as to aid in cures for disorders, including spina bifida and a multitude of other severe deformities seen in young children.

The Honorees included three great superstars, Reggie Bush, winner of the Super Bowl last year; Apolo Ohno, great Olympic speed skater, winner in Vancouver, Gold Medalist; and the Great Pete Sampras, amazing tennis player, winner of the U.S. Open and Wimbledon.

A multitude of wonderful athletes, including previous UCLA superstar basketball players, including Love, Collison and Westbrook were present. Other superstars included Carrie Underwood, singing the National Anthem and the amazing Snoop Dog. This is a wonderful cause for helping genetic research at Cedars Sinai Medical Center by a multitude of great celebrities in all aspects of the Entertainment Industry. We were thrilled to attend this for our first time and look forward to next year’s.

Each and every month we post testimonials from patients from throughout the United States and throughout the world who have undergone plastic surgery procedures with us. We are thrilled, honored and humbled by the testimonials that we receive.

“Dear Dr. Linder, Thank you for making C’s surgery and my surgery wonderful experiences. You really listened to our needs and desires and made us both feel very secure. We appreciate everything you have done for us.” R. California

Our latest testimonial from January 2010 is from a mother and daughter. Breast revision surgeries were performed on both patients. It is always exciting and amazing to get the testimonials from patients who have made a wonderful transformation in their body shape and have improved their self-esteem and hopefully their lives as well. These testimonials are important to me in that they are just a sample of patients’ thoughts as to the results of their procedures and how the surgery has changed their lives for the better.
